Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and flat. Remove any debris, dust, or old adhesive. Repair any cracks or uneven spots.

Measure the area to determine how many tiles you need. Plan the layout, starting from the center, to ensure even placement and avoid small, uneven cuts at the edges.

Prepare the appropriate mortar or adhesive according to the manufacturer's instructions. Use a trowel to spread it evenly on the surface, creating ridges for better tile adhesion.

Start from the center point and press the first tile into the adhesive. Use spacers to maintain consistent gaps between tiles. Check the tile with a level to ensure it’s flat and aligned correctly.

Work outward from the first tile, applying adhesive and placing tiles in rows. Use tile spacers to maintain even gaps. Cut tiles if necessary using a tile cutter or a wet saw for more intricate cuts.

Let the tiles set in the adhesive for the recommended time, usually 24 hours. Avoid walking on the tiles during this period.

After the tiles are set, prepare the grout according to the manufacturer's instructions. Use a rubber float to spread the grout over the tiles, pressing it into the gaps. Wipe off excess grout with a damp sponge before it dries.

Consider applying grout sealer to protect the grout from stains and moisture. Follow the manufacturer's recommendations for application and drying time.

Once the grout is completely dry, buff the tiles with a clean, dry cloth to remove any grout haze. Clean the tiles with a mild tile cleaner to make them shine.

Check the entire tiled area for any loose tiles, uneven grout lines, or imperfections. Make necessary repairs before the grout fully cures.

Remember, it's essential to follow the specific guidelines provided by the tile and adhesive manufacturers for the best results.
